Retreat FAQs

Q: Is there anything else to do while I'm there?

A: Oh yes! From the Tres Sirenas beach, you can rent a stand up paddle board by the hour, or snorkel in the calm, clear blue water. Great surfing is available at beaches around a mile away. Take a stroll along the beach to other local hotel bars to watch the sunset. The bustling hip town of Rincon is about a 15 min walk away, with great cafes, restaurants and unique stores.

Q: Will we get some chill time?

A: Yes. Each day we include at least 2 hours of down time, outside meal times, which you can use as you please. We will have a couple of early evening rituals on the beach, but mostly after dinner will also be chill time.

Q: How easy is it to get around?

Q: I noticed there are only 5 dinners included, while we are there for 7/8 evenings, what gives?

A: As we will be together for 7 days - and Rincon is a great town to explore, we wanted to give you a couple of nights of independence. You can grab a new friend or two and head to a great local restaurant, or pick up a few items at the supermarket and have a sunset picnic on the beach. We'll provide some options if you'd like guidance, or you can fly on your own.

Q: What will a typical day look like?

A: Each day will be a little different but a typical day will look something like this:

  • 730 am Morning movement practice to wake up your body, calm your mind and tap into your soul.
  • 815 Delicious breakfast
  • 930 Morning session (teaching and guided practices)
  • 1230 Lunch
  • 130 Reflection/Beach time
  • 330 Afternoon Session (teaching and guided practices)
  • 530 Break
  • 630 Dinner (together at Tres Sirenas 5 nights)
  • Evening ritual (2/3 evenings)

Q: Will all meals be vegetarian? Are there gluten free, dairy free options?

A: All breakfasts and lunches will be vegetarian. Evening meals will include options for meat eaters. Gluten and dairy free will be available for all meals.

Q: I'd like to share my room-will you find someone for me to share with?

A: We will not be paring people together for this retreat. If you'd like to share a room, use your persuasive powers to persuade a favorite friend to join you.

Q: Do I need to bring anything?

A: We'll send a packing list closer to the time, but other than the usual needs for a beachside vacation, you won't need much. Yoga mats, cushions, journals and writing tools will all be provided, along with any other supplies needed for the activities.
